DESCRIPTION | Five, actually three and two very similar, Pointed Old English & Double Thread Georgian Silver Table Knives. All complete with new, never been used, satin finished Martensitic stainless steel blades fitted in the traditional way using pine pitch. All are a good weight and feel lovely in the hand. |

DATE or HALLMARK | The three are Sheffield 1776, an interesting date, just three years after the opening of the Sheffield assay office. The two have party obscured marks but are London probably 1805 (letter K) |

CONDITION | The three Sheffield 1776 have recently been restored to a high standard, the two London have had restoration in the past including the fitting of over collars that are now partly obscuring the hallmarks. These two also have some bumps and a couple of small splits to the terminal. All are complete with brand new blades and a fresh professional clean and polish so safe for use at table. Best not to clean in a hot dishwasher. |
