DESCRIPTION Typical Georgian silver pap boat with a thread decorated rim and engraved monogram and date August 1809.
SILVERSMITH Silversmiths tend to mark their smaller items quite lightly to reduce the requirement for reworking following the strike whereas assayers show less restraint. Consequently the maker's mark is often the one to rub first and this is the case here. I can see the mark but it is too rubbed to read.
