DESCRIPTION | Very good antique English Victorian solid sterling silver double compartment early date vesta case (match safe) with engine turned decoration and a blank 'C' scroll cartouche that has never been engraved. The larger box for your fresh vestas and the smaller for the spent and complete with steel strike to the lid. I think the steel strike is given a dedicated compartment to avoid accidental ignition and to keep your hands and pockets clean following a strike. |
