DESCRIPTION | Heavy Victorian silver three piece tea set with a double crest engraving to one side. The tea pot has a concealed hinge and a cape rim, which is a useful feature on a heavy pot, a strengthening collar added at each end of the handle and a deeply 'tanned' interior. Looks like 120 years of tannin build up that I have left in place because many believe this improves the flavour of the brew but I can remove it easily should you wish. The sugar bowl and milk jug have gilded interiors. Tea pot holds 1000ml. |
