| DESCRIPTION | Very unusual antique English Georgian solid sterling silver meat skewer with a Bead Edge heart form terminal engraved to one side with a crest below a Baron's Coronet and hallmarked with the scarce incuse duty mark. These items are used to ensure that the centres of large roasting joints are safely cooked. I have found that they can also reduce the cooking time by 20% so are energy saving too. |
