DESCRIPTION | Four, two pairs, of good quality Georgian silver Fiddle pattern mustard ladles with gilded bowls and matching crest engravings. Small spoons/ladles with these elongated, egg-shaped bowls are also called egg spoons but in my opinion this could be a misnomer. Yes, their bowls are egg-shaped and they would also serve to raise a quail's egg but for a boiled hen's egg with a runny yolk they are next to useless. The yolk remains within the deep bowl and is uncomfortable to remove orally. |
