Similar examples can be bought new for around £255 each (not a pair but each). It has taken me many years to realise why these coasters often have blobs of wax on the wood bases. People use them for the large, fat candles that are popular today as well as protecting your polished surfaces from water damage due to condensation on chilled white wine bottles. |
