DESCRIPTION | Important antique English Georgian solid sterling silver mustard pot with a heavy blue glass liner (old but may not be the original) and correctly hallmarked to lid and base. Both PB.IB marks are well struck and very well preserved. I have cleaned the piece just enough for a thorough inspection but have not polished and traces of old mustard remain to the inside. Although still perfectly functional as a mustard pot I think that, considering the rarity and importance of this piece, some professional conservation repairs should be undertaken. |
