DESCRIPTION | Large and impressive English solid sterling silver two-bottle inkstand with generous frontal pen-tray and in a restrained Art Deco style. The hinged tops to the inkwells are gilded below, a pleasing sign of the highest quality. The fixing paste for the mounts has picked up just enough colour to see that one bottle was used for red ink and the other black. |
