OVERALL CONDITION |
Exceptionally wonderful, completely original and not polished. Just a few years after these were made the fashion changed in favour of the new 'sugar nips' and so these andirons were likely stored and forgotten after a very short period of active service. |
FAULTS |
spike not perfectly straight, has likely been used to break up sugar. |
