DESCRIPTION | Early and unusual Victorian silver tilt opening vesta case with a steel strike to one side and gilded interior. All over engine turned decoration and a blank, circular cartouche to the lid that has never been engraved or erased. The lid opens by depressing the edge of the lid along the steel strike with your thumb thus enabling one handed operation. It snaps shut pleasingly. |
