DESCRIPTION |
Typical mid 18th century Georgian silver mote spoon with unusual foliate and floral bowl piercings and the usual diamond point. Although foliate and floral piercings are common, this is the first time that I have seen them employed exclusively. |
SILVERSMITH |
I have just spent a couple of hours with this mark but still cannot be certain and so have included extra images for your consideration. The upper/lower punch outline is very distinctive and narrows the field of potential makers to two, although a perfect match for neither even considering the pinching in my opinion. |
