DESCRIPTION | Antique English Georgian solid sterling silver snuffer's tray with thread decorated border and no engraving or erasure. Unusual for a lovely open, flat piece of silver to have escaped the engraver, perhaps the snuffers were suitably engraved and that was considered sufficient. |

CONDITION | very good, no engraving or erasure, some surface marks, little bumps and digs commensurate with use. Tiny, about 2mm, flaw now visible in the internal side. This is an impurity in the original silver ingot that was buried within the metal below the surface and has now been exposed by polishing. |
