DESCRIPTION Exceptionally good Georgian silver Hanoverian pattern spoon with original initials engraved verso. Perhaps one for the collection rather than the table and the patination is a pleasing colour so I have not polished. The patination highlights original hammer marks to the bowl back as darker spots. These are not bumps because they do not show within the bowl which would have been polished smooth for the final finish.

OVERALL CONDITION would be difficult to find better, must have lain idle for almost 300 years and recently adopted by my teenage son as his role model. Hard to see with the naked eye but caught by the camera is a small and now very faint engraving of two symbols to what we consider today the front of the terminal that are likely to be later.
