OVERALL CONDITION |
Originally made of very thick metal and so it has survived remarkably well. I have had some high points to the mustard pot lid restored and new gilding to the underside. It is possible that the mustard finial has been reattached in the past. One glass salt liner is a very good replacement. Some rim chips to the salt liners, one quite large, but they tend to blend into the general design. |
MINOR FAULTS |
The hollow leaf capped mustard pot handle is slightly askew and there is some wear to the leaf cap. The seam around the expansion hole in the bottom C scroll of the handle is now visible. |
