OVERALL CONDITION |
My silversmith has restored this item. The work done was to repair some small splits to the delicate piercing and the top rim. Extra silver has also been added to the inside at critical points to prevent future splits. This type of item often fails at the joint between the leg tops and the base rim. Unusually, this example was perfect in this area and no work was required. | ||
FAULTS |
See above for the silver. The blue glass liner has some rim chips but in my opinion is worth keeping as it still looks good. |
