OVERALL CONDITION |
excellent. Substantial silver throughout and surprisingly original. Slight bumps to cover and the engraved line decoration is partly rubbed. No thin spots at all but I would expect such as piece to bear an engraving so I suspect an erasure to the body although none is apparent. The vertical and horizontal dark bands around the girdle and foot are reflections only, the metal is a good colour throughout and with no firestain. |
