DESCRIPTION | Fine quality silver box with a turned wood handle. The hinged lid with a shell thumb piece and fancy crest engraving. These boxes are sometimes described as ash trays but they really only work as such if your valet will hold it for you. Being the exact length of a standard (not king size) mid 20th century cigarette they work much better as a cigarette box from which to pass out cigarettes in a social situation. Today it has a multitude of uses. |
